A San Antonio, Texas man who worked as a civil employee for the Department of Defense has pleaded guilty to one count of engaging in illicit sexual conduct with a minor in a foreign place and will be sentenced on August 6, 2015.

According to the compliant, McGrath said that he met the girl while in Honduras and began a sexual relationship with her. He also admitted to providing the girl with money, gifts and other items in exchange for sex.

McGrath pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Lee H. Rosenthal of the Southern District of Texas.

The plea was announced by the Department of Justice Criminal Division as part of its Project Safe Childhood, a program launched in 2006 to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse. The investigation was conducted by the FBI’s Houston Division.
